Martine’s Bistro in Comox hosted a gala dinner and art auction April 15 to raise money for Street Smart Kid’z, a no-cost, child safety program.
The Comox Valley arts community, local professionals and businesses teamed up with Martine’s to help raise awareness and funds to allow the organization to continue the work of providing safety and awareness training for 212 children and their parents.
Julie donated a painting to be auctioned, and other works of art were donated by a number of other artists, including Julie’s grandmother Joyce Jay, and Julie’s cousin Nick Hutton-Jay.
Those attending the auction enjoyed a fabulous dinner whilst participating in the silent and live auction.
